PIONEER
« on: May 27, 2005, 02:04:21 AM »
Has anyone drilled their Pioneer with a "sharp break" drill? If so what type of reaction did you get. This summer I an facing some fairly dry lanes and all of my other equipment is to strong. Do you thing a pioneer drilled with a sharp break drill would have much backend? If so I may go with the control dril. I just want is to have a strong move to the pocket but not a jump.

do you have the Pioneer now ?  If not....I'd wait for the Sahara, and put a control drill on that ! (Sahara comes out in 3 weeks)

WOW!!  Then go ahead and put the control drill on it........

Go to the MoRich website and go to the "drilling suggestion" area and you can ask Fred what to do,...you have to fill out a sheet w/ your info, and he'll confirm if the control drill will accomplish what you're looking for......

My old Pioneer I had was drilled negative (5 x 6 1/4 with weight hole near NAP), ball worked great off of the dry. Not too jumpy but skid city in oil. Played up 5 and could carry light hits all day. Had the front 9 with it 3 times the first 6 months I owned it (which was good considering I didnt use it that much).

I love this ball...have been looking for a NIB 15#er for some time.

I just put inserts into the ball and reslugged it, didn't change the drilling. It's 3-1/2 pin to PAP with the RC under the thumb. Weighthole is on PAP and pitched away from palm.

Clean up front, solid midlane read and a strong arc on the backend.

Ti-Messenger Pearl cover.  That's where that brute strength on the backend is coming from.
