A true MoRich dry lane ball....

Does someone, anyone, know if Mo will actually make a straight, out of the box, dry lane ball?!? Yes. I know I can do cover prep and all of that stuff, but that cost's money too. If not, I guess I need to look for a Pioneer. (sigh)

Just because it says it's for dry lanes, doesn't mean it works well for dry lanes. Look at Track's Dry Heat. From what the reviews say, this thing moves a lot on drier conditions. You need something that you don't have to fight to get it through the heads. Again, without cover preparations. I see no point in buying a ball that's supposed to do what it says out of the box, and you have to prep afterwards! Major pet peeve of mine.

Now, if I have a ball that needs to cleaned or resurfaced, ok, but I don't want to change the entire dynamics of the coverstock if I don't have too. I never understood why people one to buy seven of the same ball and make it do seven differnt things?!?!?! How about drilling two of the same ball and have some fun in the condition its designed for to get two different looks.

Better than that, learn how to manipulate the ball with your hand positions. I suck at it, but at least I give it a try. If I drilled with MoRich's control drill, it might work, but even then, I've heard folks still having issues with it.

I based my Sahara recommendation on his quest for a dry lane ball and his relatively firm(16.5mph) ball speed.  If he has too much trouble with a Sahara, there's always a NIB Nail on eBay.

A Mayhem for dry ?  Uhmmm ....(without sounding like a jerk) NO WAY!.....the Mayhem has the same core as the Ravage and the T/A ...it was the first core w/ the double flip block...I THINK...plus, it has a strong particle cover on it as well....

The Sahara (as pointed out earlier) says ..."FOR DRIER LANES" ....which to me, means when the lanes start to break down , or,...on lighter conditions.

Proper pin placement and mass bias placement on this ball CAN make it for drier conditions...maybe even some pretty dry conditions too.  The key here is someone who really knows how to manipulate the core (a good driller!).

You can also inquire on the MoRich website for drilling recommendations based upon your specs.  Just make sure you tell them EXACTLY what you want the ball to do and on what conditions.

Buddy of mine throws morich and has the Sahara.  That is definetly not a dry lane ball.  That thing is more agressive than my triton heat is.  Anyways I agree with rotofan is you want a good dry lane ball check out the desert heat from check.  You won't be disapointed

Just posted my Sahara review... my conclusion: NOT a dry lane ball, but a ball for "dryer lanes". Will not go straight unless you kill it with drilling and release, a high end solution for late games and short medium patterns. But for a true dry lane ball, look somewhere else (unless the Pioneer is better suited, but I cannot tell anything about it).
