Do you guys use different pin placements on asymmetrical equipment as you do with your symmetrical bowling balls?  I'm talking MoRich asymmetrical.

For me i've come to the conclusion that keeping the MB close to my VAL is a must on asymmetrical bowling balls.  When I have the MB close to the thumb the reaction becomes unpredictable.  I'm just curious how you guys approach the pin placement on these strong MoRich balls?

I'm really thinking about getting a LEVRG.

FOR me....a strong pin  (4") with a weaker mass bias postion(5 inches) is fine ....(Mo calls this the symmetrical drill position).

A weak pin with a weak mass bias position is floaty!  Unpredictable.

Fred of Morich....told me take your two numbers ie pin to pap and mb to pap and add them...there is some number where for a persons revs it all falls apart.  ie about 10.5 to 11 for me.

But a lot of balls in the 8.5 range work great for me.  ie 5 pin to pap and 3 mb!  These things are great creating tons of midlane and area on a top hat.

I own 3 MoRich balls (Sahara, Awesome Finish and S&A), and they rather accidently ended up with a similar setup: pin at 4.5" from PAP, ending up above my ring finger, CG/MB stacked, ending up at about 4 o'clock from the thumb (must be about 5" from PAP, not sure right now) - with small deviations due to pin distance and a balance hole on the Sahara. Only the AF, the latest addition, was drilled on purpose this way, to fit between the others due to the ball's strength. It is a basic setup I use on many of my balls and that works well for me - also on strong MB equipment, I just get a harder punch at the break point (plus the "standard" MoRich pin deck devastation ).  

All balls are OOB, and most interesting, the make up a very good and complementary arsenal from mkedium-dry to medium-oily shots. The AFi would not be necessary to fill a true gap, but it fits nicely between the Sahara and S&A.

Most of my equipment is laid out with Pin up or to the right of the ring. MB is usually close to my thumb but with my LevRG i laid it out where the MB is closer to the Val with a PIN up layout to get a controlled hard arc for heavy oil and it does great. Pin carry is phenomenal like no other, just get some of the head pin and your going to strike just about everytime. BTW I laid mine out using the dual angle system. i put the PSA to Pin-to-Pap angle at 20 degrees with the pin-to-pap line and Val at a 30 degrees wtih a Pin-To-pap distance of about 5" which really puts foward roll on the ball. Pin ended up about 2" or less above my ring finger.
