« on: February 04, 2007, 02:41:12 PM »
Will this ball work well in Heavy Oil? Im considering purchasing one for tournaments(typicallly on flat sport shots & pba regional patters) and I want to be sure it will be what Im looking for before spending the money. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Yes. This is one of the best heavy oil/flood balls made.

What's better, TSA or Awesome Hook? For the same patterns discussed earlier.

Well, you can go a few different routes with Morich and Heavy Oil. You can use a TSA, Awsome Hook, Seek and destroy, or an Awsome revs possibly with a bit of surface prep. What is your game like? That will tell us more about which one should be better for you.

RH, throw about 19MPH, medium-high to high rev rate. Don't have an RPM number unfortunately. I'm looking for the same kind of pattern help, PBA Regionals (especially pattern 4), BTM, Nationals, etc.

I just got mine and threw it a couple of times before I sent it into the pro shop to fix the thumb size and pitches (putting in my extra Grip-Loc outer sleeve). From the shots I saw, this thing is a monster. Albeit, it wasn't much volume of oil (I'd say about medium-light), I had fun watching it rev up and take a huge right turn (I'm a lefty). This ball is definitely strong, and I can't wait to use it on a heavier pattern (with the right pitches in the ball, of course).
