I've used this ball on a THS, and a more difficult 40' pattern with oil to the gutter.
The THS I used this ball on is not the easiest walled up condition i've bowled on. Unlike many walled up house patterns where a bowler can play any part of the lane and score. This particular pattern requires playing the correct part of the lane to score. So in that sense this particular THS was more fun to bowl on. I do not bowl league on this pattern. I bowled on this pattern after a league had finished. Their was plenty of oil on the lanes even after the league was done.
The 40' pattern I used this ball on was pretty tough. My league is using 3 patterns this season and this is the easiest of the 3. Even though not the most difficult pattern in my league, it still requires accuracy to get to the pocket.
On the THS is more about carry than anything else. In this regard the N'TENSE LEVRG is top shelf! This ball flat out hits and hits hard! The carry on this ball is unreal! The carry power from this ball is enough reason to buy it. I'm not kidding about that either! I've had a few bowling balls that were a cut above the rest when it came to carry (doom, no mercy, animal) to name a few. The NTENSE LEVRG is numero uno with regards to hit and carry!
On the 40' more difficult pattern in my league: Most bowling balls work well on THS. Only a few balls work really well on tough patterns. The NTENSE LEVRG is one of those balls that works well on both the THS and tough patterns.
My league house has Brunswick pro avaline synthetics. I'm not sure what oil they use for the patterns but it carry's down really bad! Not only does the oil carry down bad in this league but it also seems to move around really bad making transition a nightmare. I don't usually see the defined hook spot develop until the end of the 2nd game. This is a tough place to play.
The NTENSE LEVRG seems to make the carry down invisible. I really didn't notice the carry down much using the NTENSE LEVRG. I know the carrydown was present because of other bowlers reactions. I've only owned one other ball that would roll thru carrydown like it wasn't there and that was the NO MERCY. Well now i've owned 2!
Like I said before, in my league the oil seems to move around a lot making transition really tough. The NTENSE LEVRG rolls very true! All three phases of this ball are great. It glides thru the heads, has a strong mid-lane and equally strong continuous back end. Some bowling balls seem to blend out lane patterns better than others and this is very noticeable on tough patterns. Some bowling balls just don't seem to get affected by the transition as much and the NTENSE is one of those balls.
Now for something I found very interesting about the NTENSE LEVRG! A lot of strong covered bowling balls tend to lose carry as the shot dries out. Even moving deeper into more oil doesn't seem to help the carry. I'm sure many of you guys have been on patterns like that. This is when a ball switch is usually needed. Well I had a chance to use the NTENSE LEVRG on a pattern that broke down pretty bad. My T-Road solid didn't carry well playing deep inside, my Blue Vibe didn't carry very well playing deep inside, but my NTENSE carried great! How is that? How does such a strong ball continue to carry great on a shot that broke down so bad that even a polished Blue Vibe had trouble?
This ball just doesn't lose carry! Just amazing!
I can see several more LEVRG balls in my future! This ball is awesome for both tough and easy patterns!
