Control Drill....

will be doing some sport tourneys over the spring and summer so I found a steal of a deal on a used Hercules to have set up w/ a control drill.  I figured this along w/ my RG Rush will be perfect....

Picked it up the other day,...1200 compound, 2 1/4 x 6 7/8, mb under the thumb.

Freakin WOW!!  While still strong....soooooooo predictable, and sooooooo smooth!!  Me likey!!  My other Mo stuff has been hook-set...but this later flaring/less flaring control drill is a "must have" ...just in case you can't smooth a pattern out, or you're bowling a few tourneys....

anyone else enjoy this pattern ?

laby 5 1/2" X 6 3/4" X 3 1/2" 2000 smooth wet or dry. no hole.

mino 3" X 6" X 2 1/2" box 500 grit. 3/4" x 4" deep hole on val no pitch...

I use a bunch of forward roll setups, but i chased this stuff from the archive.  It seems that the King "likey" also!

In correct order (I think...); strong breakpoint, control, control, control, control, controlish, strong breakpoint, control, controlish. Can anyone confirm?

depends on his pap....but the strongest breakpoint I see is 5 1/4. Yes...he most certainly likes the control drills......that's what he told me when he drilled mine,...."most of my stuff is similar to this"

kotm has a lot of hand to....so it makes perfect sense......he does most of his differentiation by surface prep.....

Hmmmmmmmmmm, isn't that the one I was considering for my WMB?  LOL.  What do you think now after throwing both patterns?  I know they're on different balls...

I have one drilled sharp break. I don't know why someone would put a waek drill a naturally aggressive ball. You could save some money abd just by a weak ball to start with.

The ball is still strong Strider,...it's just super predictable and smooth!

7year, with these cores being so strong and versatile,....they'll ALWAYS hit! it's just a matter of shaping the look of your hook. This drilling is NOT weak by any stretch!! It's just a later revving more controlled drill....readable, controllable, smooth as all hell, but still strong.....I was still swinging 15 at the arrows out to 6 and back w/ this thing on a 35 ft fresh shot.....
