Seek and destroy question

I am very interested in picking up one of these. It is supposed to be angular for a particle peice but, how angular is it (arc, strong arc, flip). I know this depends on drilling a bit but, whats it personality? Reason why I ask, I would like to have something angular to play a lane that has medium/heavy head oil with medium+ carrydown and I love angle into the pocket! Needless to say, I have not really thrown a particle that has impressed me much! Last night my Ebonite One that is sanded to 1000 grit started to not do the job by the second game because of carrydown. I had to bowl it at a grandma speed and square up big time to get it to the hole (needless to day, this is not my "A" game). I am just trying to get something with a good amount of angle that can handle this condition. Is the Seek and Destroy a good choice or would a TSA be better? Thanks in advance for all help!

I would say that it is as close to a 'flippy' particle as you can get.  Not quite in the pearlized range, but a lot closer than any other particle from what I have seen.  Personally, I think this ball would be better than the TSA b/c the TSA is a little earlier roll in the mid-lane.  Hope this helps.

Unless you have a swimming pool, stay away from the seek and destroy.  It's a rollout monster.  The TSA may be the best ball I've seen in a long time.  It also is very receptive to cover changes if it is checking up too early.  Go with the TSA and you won't be disappointed.

I have drilled up a few S&D and haven't seen one stop with the Assym. Flip drilling. I have seen one stop a little bit with the mass bias kicked out though.   Both balls are very receptive to cover stock changes, but the S&D with it being smoother than the TSA lets the ball to go down the lane a little farther before it makes it turn.

I'll agree to disagree on this one.  I think the TSA is more versatile.  I've drilled 4 of them up and loved each one.

Maybe it is just me, but the S&D makes a stronger move down the lane than the TSA.  I would agree that the TSA is AWESOME and for a particle release the S&D is just as impressive.  I don't think that either one is a bad choice.

Looking on the Morich site they only show 3 drillings, control, sharp break point, and forward roll. How is the Assy. flip layed out? BTW, my PAP is around the 5 1/4 neighborhood.

Assy. Flip drilling is in the core tech website area.  If you can't get it--let me know; I'll try to post the way to drill it.

I think there are several factors that need to be considered when looking at a ball like this.  Personally, I have adequate ball speed to handle this aggressive of a bowling ball.  However, like has been stated previously, in the hands of a professional driller, this ball can be tailored to fit your game correctly.  Remember, these things aren't "game-in-a-box" for the weak-hearted.  If you're gonna use this ball, you'd damned well be sure to have a little head oil or it's a complete waste of time.  With a little condition of the front of the lane, this ball is magic.
