Mo covers
« on: October 07, 2005, 02:01:41 PM »
Which Brunswick covers are on these balls? I'm thinking of getting some and am not sure if they would fit my arsenal the way I want them.

Ravage = PK18
S&A = Activator+
Total S&A = Enhanced PK18
Total Annihilation = Enhanced PK18
Sahara = N'Control Powerboost
WMB = Enhanced PK18 w/ Particle

TSA and TA are C4, and i'm not sure which brunswick cover it is.  Probably a base of powerkoil 18.  The Sahara is the N'Control Powerbosst from the Punisher.

The WMB is a C4 base with Mo's specified particles.

As far as I know -
Ravage = PK18 => Nemesis, Bruiser
S&A = Activator+ => Absolute Inferno, Intense Inferno
Total S&A = Enhanced PK18   no known Brunswick ball
Total Annihilation = Enhanced PK18   no known Brunswick ball
Sahara = N'Control Powerboost     Punisher
WMB = Enhanced PK18 w/ Particle   no known Brunswick ball

HOWEVER, it is my recommendation that you accept the MoRich balls for what they are, learn which ball reaction you need, then learn which MoRich ball can be drilled to do what you need. Mo's cores make these balls potentially significantly different from the reactions you get with the same cover on any  Brunswick ball with the same coverstock.

Besides, you can't separate a ball into its component parts: cover and core. They are inseparable, providing a range of designed-in ball reactions.

Could it be that the "enhanced PK 18" is the Aggressive Recative base used in the Fuze balls from Brunswick and on the Swamp Monster? It was derived from PK 18 and makes a tremendous coverstock base, really aggressive and nicely tweakable, being either solid or pearl.
Although I personally think that this stuff is the normal Activator used on the original Inferno, with particle addition on some balls. As far as I know. Activator is just a further development of PK 18 from a different base, and would be the better state-of-the-art stuff for a current high performace ball like the ones MoRich produces.
