Title: Awesome Finish 300
Post by: Beef STL on January 03, 2008, 11:08:05 PM
Earlier in the week (Tuesday) I threw in a tournament, and shot a 298 with my LevRG.

Well, last night, I finally got my Awesome Hook drilled that I've been waiting to get drilled for 3 weeks now.  Picked it up yesterday afternoon.  Had league last night.  Get down to the pair and give a few practice tosses.  Come to find that the Awesome Finish was definitely giving me a better look in practice, so I decided to go with that.

I'm glad I did.

Shot my first 300 since March 5, 2006.  Wound up running the front 14, then got up there and blasted a nice 7-10 :-) then threw a double and rung a 10 pin, and then struck to the 12th, shooting a 241.  My partner, and I, shot 541 in doubles the first game and got beat out by 15 pins in doubles.  Great huh? :-)  Oh yeah, last game, strike, 6-7, next five, 6-7-10, 10 pin, double 9, 211.  Ouch.  But I'm happy with how I threw the ball, so it was good.

FIGJAM over :-)
I Love my Awesome Finish

Congrats. I have been so tempted to buy an Awesome Finish. My wife would kill me if she knew that I was even entertaining the idea of getting another ball.

Finish is not getting very good reviews but I think  it is great if used on the proper condition.

The pro shop said that he is having luck after the bowlers knock off the shine. I drilled one yesterday and he said to try it with the box surface but I might have to change it.

PK18 and Mo's motor.  Killer combo right there, my friend.

There shouldn't be a condition this ball cannot be used unless you're bowling on asphalt.

I kept it box finish.  On anything, but soup, the finish is a much stronger reaction than the LevRG and the AH.  I'm entertaining the idea of getting another one too! :-)
