Awesome Finish, length length length!
« on: April 11, 2007, 01:13:07 AM »
A good friend and I both picked up a Seek & Destroy about a year and a half ago, I had my first 700 with that ball and my friend had his first 300 with it.  So in keeping with the tradition, we went out and picked up an Awesome Finish for him.  Man does this ball go long, and strong!  There were probably 5 shots he made where I'm thinking, hold hold hold hold hold hold MOVE!  And it did just that.  If you're looking for some serious length with a good backend movement from the outside lines this is definitely the ball for it.

On oil it tends to slide a bit, if you give it a little belly out to the dry you get length and awesome snap so it handles carry down and oil well if you just get it to the dry.

I'm quite impressed, it looks very versatile.  Has a similar hit to the S&D but is much more continuous, longer, and versatile.  Another winner from Morich!

The Finish is much stronger than the Sahara. I do not see it even coming close to being able to replace the Sahara in anyone's line.

The Finish is very sensative to oil....but it is just as sensative to dry....it jumps like Mike Jordan when it hits dry.

That confirms the video on absbowling.co.jp. VERY long, very late, very angular - even longer than the Flip or the S&A as pearl balls, thanks to the polished solid PK18 cover. With some surface (e. g. 4.000 Abralon) this should also be a smooth operator on oilier shots?

I can't wait for mine to arrive in the old world, I think we have a winner for medium conditions at hand!

Compared to the Sahara I expect it to be a little stronger (needing more/longer oil overall) and with much more hook potential. I think it should fit well between the AF and the Sahara?

I would say that the length on this guy is about the same as the Sahara actually, but it's twice as heavy on the back end.  With burnt out backends you may get some over/under action, but generally because of the length it's very forgiving.

As for where it fits in the MoRich aresenal, I'd say it's got more backend flip than the AF, more length than the revs, and the same length but heavier snap than the Sahara.  This would give you the ability to say goodbye to the 10 pins you get with sahara and also handle more oil.

As for the color, I'd say it looks like a faded rainbow threw up all over it.  It's tough to concentrate on how the ball is rolling because every time I see it go down the lane I feel like I'm going to have an epilectic seizure.

Awwww, I really was looking for an excuse to buy this ball, but I can't fit it anywhere. I'm very happy with my arsenal...S&D, AR and the Sahara,

Get it! It will fit the slot between the REVS and Sahara perfectly. The difference in strength between the FINISH and Sahara is dramatic in my opinion. The layout that I have on each is pretty similiar and I have to be a good 4-6 boards deeper with the FINISH in order for it to hold the line.

Well, honestly, I cannot fit it, too, but I want one for the sake of it. I guess it will replace my SR300 on mediums and work well below my S&A and Frankie May Gryphon, yielding more length. Can't wait, can't wait... (*itch*)

Naw, think of teamwork. I have a dozen of ball lying around, half of them semi-retired but I still cannot give them up. I limit myself to max. of 4+1 spare for league or training. Imagine the "discussions" with all the ball for not being neglected...  But I use a democratic rotation system, also to challenge myself with ever different lane reactions and arsenal ideas.

One more ball won't hurt

Threw the Awesome Finish in league tonight, and even with a stronger,
type drilling, has great length and energy retention. I am almost attempted
to try it on my 'bone' league tonight. This had better length than my buddies
polished Black Widow, and might teamates Shift. I am impressed with the
energy retention of this ball.
