Awesome Flip and Onslaught comparison
« on: December 19, 2006, 07:51:09 AM »
Can anyone shed some light on these two balls for me?  On the lane, they appear to have about the same break point, same angular move to the pocket, and same everything.  Those of you who have or have had both, please share your opinions with me.  Thanks, Scott

Man I haven't thrown an Onslaught but I do have Flip and in my view Flip shhould handle so more oil than Onslaught also Flip's core is much more powerful making the ball more versilte.

We have a guy on our team...very good and has proven it at the US open.

No slouch on any condition.

Other night started with his tried and true onslaught.  Talk about bad breaks.
I think he had 3 pocket 7 10 splits and shot his low game of the year.

He's at about 220! After a couple of bad weeks.

Another bad one with another pocket 7-10.  Switched to a poor releasing(brand new) Awesome flip in the 8th frame of second game.  Beveled his thumb like mad...

And then went 279 in the last game with feet about 5 boards deeper.  He left a smash 7 pin on one ball in the 8th!  More backend!

Both great balls...one just stronger than the other.

I think this next week he could shoot...anything!

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS if he doesn't average near 240 the rest of the year...with this combo of similarly drilled different reaction balls...I'll be surprised...he is a powerstrokin firecracker!
