I might need to switch!
« on: December 19, 2006, 02:48:24 AM »
I had a big problem. My pride and joy Ravage totally cracked. It was in my bedroom on my bowling rack.My room stays at 76 degrees. My Ravage wasn't by any windows or moisture. Well anyway I go to use it, and I see the crack totally around the coverstock.I emailed Morich twice in 2 weeks. No one had returned any of my emails as of right now. This angers me because, whenever I write to Morich about anything I usually get an email within a day or two.I feel like they don't even care.I own just about every Morich release including the overseas ones.I think if they can't atleast return my email by the end of the week,I might just change ball companies. It's not like I'm expecting a lot here.I just wanted to know if maybe I had a bad batch or something.I love the Morich balls but,I'll change in an instant if the have bad customer service. Thanks for reading my rant!!

The ball is 2 1/2 years old. Shi_ happens, balls crack. What do you want MoRich to do about it??? Unless you throw 15lbs, they can be replaced pretty cheaply. Sounds more like a pitty party than a rant in HMO!

There should be a toll free number on the website, give them a call and speak to one of the customer service people. They should be able to help you without issue. I have called them a couple of times over the years and had excellent service over the phone with them. We also do a ton of business with Mo products and see Mo 2-3 times a year. With the holidays going on, they may have short staff or be closed so dont let this time of year leave a negative taste in your mouth for not getting a reply.

On edit, if you want another one and cannot get a NIB here is one on ebay currently:

Snowman,

Call Customer Service.  They may have email problems and not know about it.
Second, it's close to the holidays and staff might be light.  A call should
get you a quicker response.  Shari Lappe is usually the one who answers the
phone for customer service.  She's great to deal with....MoRich's number is
877-530-0324.

Hope this helps,

Bill

Not necessarily.  The warranty begins when he purchases the ball, not when the ball is made.  If he bought it new last week, I'd expect them to take care of him.

I might, however, take it up with the shop I bought it at.  Warranty issues are usually done through the pro shop and not directly with the company.

Even in the last year?  Admittedly, I don't know when he bought it, you might have that info.  But just because it's an older ball doesn't mean it's out of warranty.  I buy mostly discontinued stuff new, and it doesn't matter when it was made, only when I paid for it and when it was drilled (those two things are pretty much the same).

Not necessarily.

Just returned 2 Ebonite One's purchased within last year. Both cracked around finger holes. Distributor sent back to Ebonite. Takes about 30 days for answer. May or may not receive credit. Distributor will only give credit if they get credit from manufacturer.

Actually, it is not a "pity party". I just wanted to let them know what happened to my ball.Considering the fact that I own over 40 balls and have never had 1 crack kind of has me mad.And yes it is a 15lb ball.I wouldn't care less if it cracked because I left it in a car or under bad conditions. I do not expect a ball to have a crack around my coverstock for sitting on my ball rack for 2 weeks. This is why I wanted a response considering, the good customer service I've had in the past with Morich. For all of the kind replies thanks!!

Even better.

I have a Turbo X that I had as a garden gnome sitting in my flower bed for over two years.

I decided that I need a light oil ball. So, I took it out cleaned it off. Took it down to my pro shop who resurafced the ball and added new grip for $30.

Viola! New light oil ball. Great reaction and stil hits hard for those tough spotty patterns. It's now in my bag at all times..

Keep looking... I'm sure there's a 300 in one of those balls you keep buying!!

Holy crap you guys I take the stuff out of my car every time I use it, it never stays in the car!! Where do you guys live? Here in Wisconsin it is to cold in my opinion to leave stuff in the car. Examaple is when I had a Complete Chaos I left in the car overnight in january temp that night was about -20 degrees the next I got up and drove the bowling alley and the the Choas had turned white over night

Well, you all can say what you want about how the ball is "2 years" old and all, but in the last year I've had AMF equipment over a year old that cracked, and got it replaced with no problems! In one case they didn't even ask for the cracked ball!  So, IF you're going to switch ball companies, consider AMF!

And regardless of what they will do, they should at the very least answer you're email to give a decision on what they will/won't do in his case!
