Seek & Destroy layout help
« on: September 04, 2006, 10:47:53 AM »
Hi all!

Looking to pick up a S&D to help me out some of the heavier shots I have been encountering recently, specifically in a new league that I'm bowling. Its 41 foot shot, fresh backends, and a 25-30 foot fill right on top of the fresh. At this house, the usual shot is much drier, and I have never really had a problem with it, up until now. All through warmup and most of the first game, my RSX just skidded almost the whole way.I also bowl the occasional tournament at other houses, and have struggled on the heavier oil. The reaction I'd like is for it to start gripping in the oil, but still have some pop on the backends.

I don't have any exact specs, but what I do know is in my profile.

I've found one that I can pickup for pretty cheap, but the problem is that its a 1" pin.

I was thinking I could get it, go pin next to ring, MB 5 1/4" from my PAP and an X-hole somewhere above the midline, to help with the extra finger weight. Any suggestions? I know Mo's stuff is pretty touchy about layouts, so any insight would be appreciated.

Don't feel to bad about the 1" pin, it will only make locating the balance hole, if required, interesting.

When laying out these strong MB balls from Mo the CG location is low on the list of things to consider...
