im considering buying an Awesome Flip because of the obviously strong assymertic core. Now, if I were to put the MB 3 3/8 from my PAP and the pin below my middle finger roughly, 4 3/4- 5 from PAP. I have used this drilling on some other balls but they were symmetric cores, do you think this layout would take advantage of this skid flippy ball?

I would think putting the mb that close to the PAP, wouldn't give you the flippy reaction you are looking for. Move the mb to around the 4.5 in. mark and that should help. With your drilling, you would have a forward roll drilling and that wouldn't 'jump' off the spot IMO.

My ball won't hook--Oops, it was my spare ball....

although the forward roll drill is NICE when you 'don't' want it too jump too much off the spot

so, 5 x 4 1/2 would be my best bet for skid flippy reaction?

IT DEPENDS ON YOUR SPECS........PAP, TILT, REVS, SPEED....ETC.ETC.ETC......
drilling a ball 5x4 1/2 on an Awesome Flip would to 2 TOTALLY diffferent things for me and you, and anyone else!
