Awesome Flip
« on: October 30, 2006, 05:16:18 AM »
I recently bought this ball used on ebay. I Drilled it with MoRich control drilling. It had 1/2 side 1/2 thumb and no weight hole. I was surprised to see that this ball hooked a ton. I went back to my driller and said lets drill the axis hole in it to take as much weight out of the thumb and side as possible. I did that through it and it was very close to what I wanted but not exactly. I shined it up to the max and wow perfect all I can say is perfect. I have thrown 4 sets with it since then and have shot 659,662, 704 and 709. I also have five straight clean games in that set and it was due to a I am a good spare shooter with my Messenger black urethane and the fact that this ball the flip left me spares that where managable. I would recommend this ball to everyone. It just flat out lets you score well and leave something you can make when you leave something. I am a high rev player with medium to average ball speed. Any questions or comments leave them. Thanks. Anthony

I recomend trying a used one first then seeing how it rolls if you don't like it then drill it different remember be creative with the drilling the control drill is still flippy. I recomemend shining this ball up. I also would like to say I like it so much i'm going to buy one new next since this ball has the greatest reation for me of any ball I have ever thrown. Walter Ray won title 41 and 42 with this ball. It hit like an absolute truck.

I agree, after trying several balls from differnt companies I must say the Awesome Flip is simply the best. And it`s named correct : I have never seen a ball with such an angular move to the pocket.

I might be selling my Flip. I have had 2 Seek & Destroys, 2 Shock & Awes, 1 Total Shock & Awe, 3 Labys, 1 Colossus and 1 Awesome Flip. I had 770 (coulda been 800+ but for pilot error) first match with Flip and also a 290 game, all within the first 10 games. Since then it goes 60 feet straight. Had from 360 - 2000 surface on it. With and without polish. Without and with balance hole. Baked, clean & dull, power wash - nothing helps! I can leave 2-4-8-10's at will. I have been 100% satisfied with every MoRich I have thrown until recently with this one. I have 2 Seeks, 2 Revs and 2 S&A's on the way. The Flip will be out of the bag and replaced and probably for sale - CHEAP!!

Tried the Awesome Flip tonight in a late league. Started the match with the front 9 and then plaqued a 10 and missed it. Ended up with 714. It deserves a second chance, but will let you know. If I sell it, it will be be cheap. It is a single drill with no more than 25 games on it. I fixed a 2 inch scratch in ball with plug and put in Haus for about 3 minutes.....
