seek and destroy help
« on: December 11, 2006, 02:57:22 AM »
Hey fellas I have a seek and destroy with the pin a hair above the fingers to the right with the cg pretty much stacked straight down. This ball is weird to me because it doesnt seem to handle any real oil and on most house shots or whatever it will go too long. I dont have but maybe 10 games on it. I really dont care for it and im waiting for a shot to throw it on. WHat do you think.

Where is the MB placed?  You said the CG was stacked, but not the MB.  It's actually more important where the marked MB is on Mo's stuff than the CG.  What conditions are you trying to bowl on?

Once answered we can give some advice....

Exactly as these 2 have already said. The Seek with its dull particle cover really needs some oil to get through the heads without burning up.....do you still have factory surface on it as well?

A surface adjustment may be necessary as well.

The drilling is very critical on Morich balls. The CG means NOTHING with balls with this strong of a MB. Now, where is the MB? I also second what was said in the previous few posts.

I havent got a chance to try it out yet. The oil has been a bit lighter (still not light by any means) so, I have been throwing the Sahara, Flip, and Absolute lately.

Hey fellas thanks for the messages. The cg is right next to the thumb maybe a touch lower but right next to it. The pin almost even with the fingers barely a half inch above to the right and the cg is stacked.

I have run into a few heavier shots where some of the other stuff isnt quite turning the corner and it would just skate as long as them. When I ran into the shot I immediately reached for it in the bag and wasn't impressed.

You must be getting the CG mixed up with the MB. The MB on a Morich ball is a little white square on the ball. Anyway, if the pin is where you say and the the supposed MB is next to the thumb, it will go long for most people. I had one like that (before I had a driller that knows how to lay out a strong asy Ball) and I was unhappy with it. Went too long and it was very bland.

I made a mistake and said the cg, I meant the mass bias is next to the thumb. The pin is almost even and the cg is stacked below with the mass bias by the thumb.
