Awesome Revs

Well I just found a really good price on the Awesome Revs and I was looking into getting it a while back. The thing is I pretty much changed my mind and settled on the Brunswick Ultra Zone. Until this sale price came up.

What do you guys recommend I do? Go with the Awesome Revs or Just stick with the Ultra Zone.

Whichever is cheaper they're both awesome bowling balls. I think you'll get more versatility out of the Revs, I've had 2 Awesome Revs and they just take great to surface, and there really isn't anything I can't use that ball on with the correct adjustment.

On a side note the Morich stuff does have problems with cracking especially around the pin and fingers.

Those are two of my favorite balls.  I guess if I was looking for a heavier oil ball I'd go with the Revs.  If I was looking for a medium I'd go with the Ultra.  I don't think you can go wrong with either one honestly.  I am absolutely in love with the EnMotion coverstock.  It gives a nice read without being too skid/flippy, and it is easily adjustable.  I like the cover on the Revs for the same reasons except I think it can handle more oil than the Ultra especially if the back is dry.

Indeed, my Awesome Revs is cracking around the pin and both fingers pretty badly now.  It is, however, a great ball when there is some head oil to get it down the lane.  I'll be using it a lot in the PBA Experience league I'm bowling in this summer.

Yeah, that's the only thing I've had a problem with when it comes to Morich equipment is the cracking. We once drilled a Awesome Flip and the pin basically evaporated all the way down to the core. We had a 14lbs awesome hook that had nothing but sand where the core should've been.

Not a big deal though, Morich got us replacements right away. Their stuff is amazing for sport shots. I really want to try the LevRg considering it looks like it revs up like a Blast Zone on roids.

I've owned about 10 morich balls or so recently and have not had as many problems with cracking. I think my Awesome hook cracked making a circular crack around the ring running to the pin and then I had another ball do the same thing...but i've put tons of games on my Total Shock and Awes, Nsane's and LevRG.

I have owned every ball since Hercules incuding 2 Annhilations, 2 Hercueles, 2 Seek and Destroys, 2 Shock and Awes I have had none crack.

Just cause yours cracked doesn't mean they ALL have a tendency crack.

How does the Revs handle sanding for more oil? I am thinking about hitting it with 2000 and using it for oil.

My Revs at 2000 was great for heavier oil.  It really got into a hard roll, and I actually had to be careful about using it too long at that grit because it wanted to burn up if it saw friction too early.
