I would like to know as well. I have a Sahara I'm waiting to drill up for lighter conditions maybe next week sometime. It's one of the weaker pieces from MoRich but they all have a very strong core so watch how you drill it. I'll post when I get a few games on mine.

Well I can only speak about one person Ive seen roll it and he is one of those guys that has his wrist cupped as far as he can ALL the time. I bowl on pretty dry lanes in the league Im on just cause I have trouble on the drier stuff. Well he pulled out his sahara and he really cranks it but he was throwing gutter to gutter and I KNOW this is not a good representation of the ball however  the one thing I did see is it didnt seem to ever really jump on him with the way he drilled it(dont know how) way he was throwing it and all.

i agree with drrev.  my safari recently cracked and i don't intend to buy another, i have a mojave that has proven more effective on lighter oil and hits the pocket with authority.

The Sahara is a cleaner coverstock on a strong core.

The same core as on the Ravage, Total Annhilation, and the Mayhem.

A good one!

The coverstock supposedly was the same as the Punisher.  Very clean but strength on the back.

I have been able to use it on very set conditions when playing way wide(when backend was required) and it has been pretty good when playing deep inside on dryer.

I believe from what I have seen that the Mohave is longer because of the core but has a more reactive to dry coverstock....at least in the heads.

So Safari(a little spoof there) = Sahara is strong core and a clean coverstock.
Mohave = weaker core(higher rg) and an old style coverstock....skids thru oil reacts strongly and smoothly to dry.

MOjave never mind a Sahara, get a MOjave, it is alot better and it easier to control off the Break point.

or move your feet left! that would be even better than a ball

For reference, the Sahara uses the same coverstock as the current Avalanche Pearl and the former BVP Punisher.
Had one, and it is a strong option for lighter conditions, but IMHO not for anything really dry. I found the cover a bit itchy, very easy through the heads as long as some oil was left, but pretty responsive to dry boards. Did not like carrydown at all, became itchy under these circumstances, so it rarely saw league use (was bit hit or miss). When it worked, it was/is a killer ball - but if it does not match up with the situation, well, rather bag it. Special piece, I think it comes close to a current Twisted Fury Pearl.

The Awesome Finish does IMHO very different things on the lane. While it is condition-wise the next stronger piece above the Sahara, it is much more violent at the break point. Mine (drilled the same as my Sahara) is a true hockey stick hooker, it goes VERY long and abruptly turns the corner (pin above ring finger, MB stacked). The Sahara was much "tamer" with the same layout, but the AFi proved to be the more versatile piece - very good for medium conditions.
The Solid LevRG might also be an option for you, it falls IMHO between Sahara and AFi. Might need some polish to get it closer to a Sahara, but it is IMHO worth consideration.

I also have both balls drilled the same. Once the flip is too much, I can use the sahara without moving. I have seen some pretty good deals on ebay for the sahara.

i have 2 flips drilled & have a sahara. the sahara could work well, but i like
my twisted fury reaction better when i have to go to it. but the sahara is not a
bad choice. ebay has sahara's pretty cheap.
