ball selection
« on: November 26, 2007, 11:28:58 PM »
my son 21 yrs.old...lefty...bowls on the college circuit.Having trouble finding a ball that will get thru the oil and give him some room to play....There tends to be fewer lefties at his tournaments so the oil stays down most of the day....Most of the sport shots that he plays on are modified and extremely straight. Now he is a very good bowler on the house shots and has won alot of tournies as a youth bowler including a couple of state titles..He has above average revs and tosses the rock on ave,17 mph but is capable of slowing it down to 15mph.He had alot of sucess a couple of years ago whe they played mostly the texas tournaments and went to as high as 9th in the nation but is having alot of trouble adjusting to this new condition....
in short I need a ball that will give him at least 10 boards of movement....

You won't be sorry! I love my MoRich equipment. I've shot some good games with my Total Shock & Awe and my Awesome Hook has some of the best pin action I have ever seen. I'm planning on getting the 'Nsane LevRG but I wouldn't get that for heavy oil cause its made for medium to medium heavy and don't know how good a pearl type ball would work on the heavy stuff inless there was enough dry boards at the backend for the ball to do its magic.

ok..i guess my driller must have drilled it wrong....can play straight up 5 board and crush the pins but when i move in and try to belly it ..it hits like a marshmellow....i don't know much about drilling layouts but the white dot is below my ring finger....This will not be a every day ball....

that is how every Mo ball i have ever owned went for me.  Try something solid or particle, with a symmetrical core.  Anything out of the Legends series would be good,  There are also many other options from different companies.
