I would say the REVS. But I may be biased since I own one. I have never had a Total Shock and Awe.

But if you sand the REVS to 500 (same as the Hook), it will out hook the Hook.

T.J.

BOWLING IS FUN NO MATTER WHAT YOU SCORE. BUT A 300 IS ALWAYS NICE.

Awesome Revs, Finish, Fury, Mammoth, Flip

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD BOWLING!!!

Support the Military they are the reason we have freedom...

I have the Revs...A friend of mine who i practice with has the Total. From what i can see the Revs gives a lot more length and control, not as strong as i thought, but a very nice ball for medium patterns. The Total is just a hook monster! If you leave it in OOB condition it should handle a good amount of oil on any lane surface. Sometimes he can only bowl with it on fresh oil.....Game 1, maybe half of game 2 in our league( Synthetic ). After that, you`re gonna need a Cannon and gunpowder to keep it on the right side of the lane....( if righthanded ) The total can be a nice ball to take to the Nationals.

Either ball will would work fine on heavy oil with the correct drilling and surface preparation.
