Title: brunswick to morich

i've only used one morich ball and i was very impressed with the awesome hook. i've used nothing but brunswick( besides the awesome hook )since 1995 but the equipment i've got at the moment doesn't seem to be matching up for me :

copperhead
swarm
avalanche pearl

i've tried various surface adjustments on all of these balls with little luck. my question is: has anybody here changed from brunswick to morich and if so what have you seen so far in terms of ball reaction, carry, surface changes, etc. ?

Something to remember is that MoRich balls are poured by Brunswick and use modified versions of the usual Brunswick coverstocks for the most part.  Basically strong asymmetric cores in the Brunswick covers you're used to.

What is it about the current Brunswick gear you have that's not matching up well for you?  Trouble getting to the pocket?  Trouble carrying?

i know morich balls are poured by brunswick. i also know morich coverstocks are brunswick formulas that have been "tweaked". morich has the reputation for having the strongest cores in the business. as i stated earlier, i was very impressed with my awesome hook.....no matter what surface was on it at the time. thus far, i can't say that about the three balls i'm using now.

I'm not sure it's fair to compare mid range brunswick to high end Morich but the cores in the Morich balls for me made them a little more drill/condition specific.

Comparing mid range balls to high end balls is meaningless. I have had many high end balls fail me only to have mid range balls that I replaced them with out perform them. Just because a ball that costs more and is called a high end ball, doesn't mean it is better than the mid-range...mid-priced balls.

Like stated above...Morich makes fantastic balls.

Because of their strong assymetric cores they can roll a LOT differently same ball with different drilling!

I would go to the Morich section of ballreviews right here watch some of the videos with different drillings on the same ball.  THe thread is posted by DP3.

DRAMATICALLY different rolls from different drillings.  Excellant post.

I use both simultaneously with good results. IMO, they compliment eachother very well. My arsenal currently consists of LevRG, S&A, Ultra Zone, Avalanche
Pearl and TZone with a Twisted Fury Solid and N'Tense LevRG in my future.

don't know if this helps but I find the cover on my LevRg is not much different then the copper.the core on the otherhand is a beast.for as strong as my LevRg is I also find I can cover my ten pins with just a simple adjustment.the LevRg is by far one of my all time favs,worth picking one up.

I would agree that comparing the mid-range things to Morich probably isn't fair.  Morich has A LOT stronger cores than B-wick.
