Awesome Flip vs. Shock & Awe

Hey everyone,

I have the AF, and I have a Shock & Awe on the way. I'm pretty sure that my AF is drilled Asym. Flip, so it's meant to push a good ways down and come roaring back, which it does. However, it reads the midlane better than I thought in the oil, which is a nice benefit.

What kind of reaction difference can I expect from the Shock & Awe. Given the coverstock, I would assume that the S&A would want to read the lane a touch sooner, sort of like the Absolute Inferno. That is what I'm hoping for. I would like the Shock & Awe to be a more well-rounded medium ball, whereas the AF seems to like it best when I can get inside and bank it off the dry boards. What do all of you think? What drilling would you suggest I use in order to accomplish the reaction/shot shape for which I'm looking? Any help you all can give will be appreciated!

I believe the S&A is sooner in the midlane due to the torque cap being on the bottom of the core.  I'm interested in the AF, your asym flip drilling, do you have a pic of the layout?  Also, how much oil does it handle/that drill?  Is it good on a THS?

My flips drill is like this pin over my ring finger PAP out about 4 1/2 inches and the mass bias is away from the thumb only about 1 inch

My S&A is like this pin over and between fingers mass bias out inch from thumb and PAPis at about 4 and 3/4 inches out or there abouts

For me S&A was a the stronger of the two it revved up a little sonner but not a whole lot sooner and was a little more snappy also this may have something to do with varying drill patterns. S&A was a greal league ball it was strong enough to get trough a good amount of juice and still get long enough to be effective. On tournement patterns it was a real killer it had backend to spare it was just unstoppable power. Both ht like freight trains throw pins all over the deck and genarally make any other ball on the rack look real wusssy-like in the pins. Good Choices stay with MoRich!

The S&A will be earlier, and less angular with a similar overall hook potential.  I figure that if you were to put one in the same arsenal, to go with a Super Symmetrical drill for the S&A.  They are different, but not enough so to warrant the same or a very similar drill.  The SS drill should allow you to play up the boards, while you can get in deep with the AF.  I personally did this with a Vapor and AF.  The vapor was drilled pretty similar to the AF, but due to the fact that the VZ is a much more even ball naturally, it worked.  Going from Af to VZ with the S&A inbetween, expect each to be earlier and more even.  I persoanlly feel as though the S&A is closer to the AF in this model though.
