splits

Does your morich ball leave weird splits? I drilled up a sahara with the sharp breakpoint drilling. Most of the time I was destroying the rack. However I did leave some of the ugliest splits. Overall I was impressed with the sahara. Maybe I will get a shock and awe next.

I have found the more I try to drill one to flip on the back--the more designer splits that I will leave. Flippy=Touchy=designer leaves IMO.  Great if you can control it, but terrible if you can't.

The cores generate extreme entry angles and are therefore prone to lane condition changes. What I have seen from MoRich balls is thta, as long as you have enough oil, these balls rock and do incredibel things. When the oil is gone, especially with the more aggressive coverstocks, they tend to burn up easily and roll out, hitting without enough force. I have this phenomenon on my S&A, have seen it on a S&A on TV during the 2005 Weber cup and witnessed this with 2 WMBs and a Ravage IV from fellow bowlers.

I think it is less a problem of control, but rather the challenge of drilling these high MB balls for your game and reading the lane. You have to know when to change equipment with these balls, or you will not be able to use their potential. Big hook and aggressive cores bring you nowhere when the ball does not fit and the condition is not right.
