Title: different core
Post by: Long Roller on July 12, 2006, 11:11:58 AM
Is there a reason why Mo hasn't released any low rg cores or something different than vanguard or dual flip block?  It would be nice to see something with a different look.  I'm guessing it's a cost thing?

You still can't get the look of a mushroom core like the 44 mag or agent.  Those roll earlier and are very arcy.  I know you can close with a morich with some combinations, but its still not the same.

Plans for the 2007 core have already been completed I've heard.  All new balls up until winter will probaly be vanguard variations.

I suppose that the Vanguard core potential has been exploited quite well, with the successive flip block addition and tweakings since it has been released. I think it is a very good and strong core - but I also miss an alternative, like the multi density cores and milder coverstocks like the Ravage or Sahara. I think there is room in the MoRich assortment for this, maybe a touch less expensive. I am looking forward to whatever is coming!

I do not see the point either, especially with a strong asymmetrical core. But a MoRich spare ball, say a black polyester (aka Target Zone) with white logos or so, that would be an option...

I dont think yo can place a " mo core" in this type of coverstock these core hold Tilt and rotation too much. This is why i believe that most these balls have plenty of surface texture or some type particle to help them break tilt and rotation.

No disrepect to Lane#1 its no way you can compare a lane#1 core to a Morich core. Dual Plane mass bias cores are just a different beast.

don't fix what ain't broke, the core has been great and different covers have allowed it to evolve into any kind of monster it needs to be

Yes, I would have to say the next core has already been developed.  The CC and water just helps to 'round' out the edges a little bit.

morich and the same core = forever..

You can see why they aren't very popular.

People get tired of the same core in a similar coverstock, and the similar reaction.

I would have to disagree.  I think Morich is a pretty popular company, they put out good products, same core, same reaction?  that reaction is killing pins, great finishing core.

Well, then look at Brunswick: they have basically only 3 and a half core designs (Inferno core, Zone asy., BVP bell and the flip nuggets in the PGs), and mix it with a limited range of coverstocks... Storm even only puts 1 coverstock on almost any of its core designs!
