Drilling for Nsane LevRG
« on: January 03, 2008, 12:32:21 PM »
i play with Brunswick RED ZONE on medium lanes and i love this ball and how this ball react with the drilling like this one :
15 lbs
3" Pin out

---.---
--o-o--
----cg-
-------
---O-MB (1" from thumb)

Im just a stroker player with little-medium speed/revolution between 200-250 rpm

I heard Morich balls are very sensitive about the drilling. I discussed with my proshop guy and he say to me : he'll drill like any Brunswick balls, dont need to panic. I just ordered my NSANE LevRG and only next week will be drilled and want make sure if the drilling from my RED ZONE can be applied on this NSANE for the same kind reaction.

Style : between Stroker & Tweener
speed :  slow-medium
rpm : medium

Virtual Gravity
Gravity Shift
Rapid Fire Pearl

Personally I would find a Pro-Shop that is familiar with MoRich equipment and have them drill it.

If that is not an option, All the Mo balls come with a drill sheet and just have your driler use that to drill up the N'Sane.

yeah the driller can read the driling sheet. Alrdy drilled many AWESOME balls (rev, finish, flip, ...) Do you think the LEVRG are different versus the AWESOME for the drilling ?

tomorrow i"ll ask to fill the form from Morich website to get the correct drilling
Style : between Stroker & Tweener

The layouts are basically going to be the same cause they all are based off the same core. The nsane i would recommend getting it with a big backend. I have one drilled that way and it clears the front part, the midlane and then once it hits the backend the ball is flying left. With the pearl cover and 4000 abralon this ball has lots of length but lots of backend also.

Drilling these balls in the manner in which you posted here is not advisable.  In other words, if your driller uses your fingers and thumb holes in reference to the pin and mass bias, your taking a chance.  The proper way to drill equipment, especially strong asyms, is with reference to your pap (positive axis point).  This point takes into account how you come out of the ball, which effects the track circumference and the angle of the track.

As far as the differences between Brunswick and Morich:
All Morich is asymetrical, while only the Brunswick asymetric line and Twisted Fury are asyms.
Morich uses three plane asyms, whereas Brunswick uses two plane asyms with their asym series.  This changes possible layouts and makes the balls more drilling specific.

This being said, both are asyms, so while I would not guarantee a comperable reaction, there is some support for such and I don't figure that you'll have a problem.  If you want to try more exotic layouts, I'd definatly find someone that can find your pap and understands tilt the other factors that change ball reaction.

finally, I obtained a fast response of the technical support of Morich after having subjected my form of drilling for Nsane LevRG. It suggests me:

Pin to PAP distance = 3 3/8"
Mass Bias to PAP distance = 4 3/4"
Pin height above the midline of the grip = 2"
Style : between Stroker & Tweener
speed :  slow-medium
rpm : medium

Virtual Gravity
Gravity Shift
Rapid Fire Pearl
