Title: Drilling help with WMB and Shock and Awe
Post by: jjweb on March 15, 2005, 02:19:17 PM
Any suggestions on how to drill them? I was thinking of drilling the WMB with the sharp break point (3 3/8" X 6"). I want it to be strong (Monster hook! )and handle oil.

As for the Shock and Awe, I want it to snap on the backend. It's supposed to be angular by nature, and I don't want to cage this beast with a wimpy drill. I want length with a VERY angular backend.

Thanks!

P.S. My stats are in my profile.

Here is what I would do:

Wmb- Pin 4 inches from axis, 1 3/4 up from midline, mb 4 inches from pap.

Shock and awe-morich angular drilling

I think this would make the balls complement eachother nicely.

forgot to mention, in case you haven't seen it, morich has a section where you can request drill pattern suggestions based on a series of questions. Very good resource to try out.

If i'm not mistaken it would be the "sharp break" from the drill sheet.

I now have both.
My WMB is set up Asymetrical Flip Drilling.
The Shock and Awe will be set up for a Sharp Break Point.
The WMB reads the midlane really well.
I can go inside with it or play fairly straight.
I don't usually play with coverstocks much, but the WMB is very versatile.

What is the Asymmetrical Flip drilling? Maybe I should drill both with the sharp break point?

How does your shock act with the sharp break drill? That is how i'm thinking of drilling mine.
