Looks like the Mojave wont do the job on dry without a weak layout because it has the EZ Rev core

Core shape isn't everything...

With the change to the numbers it looks like Mo may have reduced the density of the core, tweaked the shape, and added some dense nuggets top and bottom to get to a higher RG and lower differential.

It looks like he intends the Mojave to be for REALLLY dry lanes. Look at these core specs:

Mass Bias Differential: .008
Coverstock: Mirage Pearl Reactive
Factory Finish: Polished
Differential: .032
RG: 2.620

That's high RG territory and 3"-4" flare max if you have high revs. 2-3" for the rest of us humans.

Mass bias of .008": barely an asymmetric ball, by tMo's own standards.

Wonder if "MIrage Pearl" is related to Avalanche Pearl . If so, you better have and hit serious DRY to make this ball move.

Of course it's priced like a Mo ball ....

N'Tense LevRG:

what the heck is "RDX Textured Pearl Reactive "????

Mass bias of .036"??? when it turns, you better have picked the correct
MB position for your drilling!!!!

So just like the 3-4 Sahara's that the shop I frequent still has in stock, the Mojave won't be a big seller.

Why spend twice the amount of money for a ball that probably doesn't do anything remarkably different than a Tropical Storm?

Because it's a MoRich and not a Storm ball!

Nah! It's just savy marketing. You want MoRich "technology", you pay for it. But with the price of balls going up, MoRich are no longer at the top of the price structure (neither are Lanemasters) and less than all Ebonite-made (Columbia & Track and Hammer) premium balls.

On Buddies website, MoRich balls are $146, while Resurgences, Complete NVs and the like are $165-ish! and Buddies has very good prices.

First of all, the Sahara was a bit more than a Tropical Storm.  If drilled strong, it was an excellent medium oil ball that really hit well.  People see the "for drier lanes" and feel as though the ball should be 100 bucks.

Secondly, it does seem as though Mo saw how most people bought the Sahara for drier lanes and were disconcerted as it hooked out of the building.  Rather than putting a slightly weaker core in the ball, he decided to remove the huge flip cap that the newer stuff has and really weaken up the core design.  It should be a nice addition to the line and allow one to have an all Mo arsenal.
