what about polishing a Revs? Anybody have experience in that? Or changing the grit higher, like 2000 or 4000

The REVS is sanded to 400 grit, then rough-buff is applied. I have been told that it brings it to 2000 roughly. But if you sand it to 4000, you will see more length. Depending on what you need, this ball is great.

I sanded mine to 2000 and polished and this added tons of length, even compared to OOB Rough Buff finish.
