I just got back from league, and for a little refresher I decided to throw the Danger Zone (600 grit + Rubbing Compound / 2 3/4" Pin to PAP) after not using it for a couple of years.
After 1 night, I prefer its motion over that of the Absolute Inferno (220 Grit + Rough Buff / 2 3/4" Pin to PAP) on a regular house shot. The thumb was too big, and even with a piece of foam tape on the back and 2 pieces of grip tape on the front I still didnt get a good feel.
Regardless, when I got a clean shot off, I fell in love again, and saw why PowerKoil 18 was a mainstay in Brunswick's product lines for so long.
The ball reacted exactly how I released it, everytime.
Very few clueless moments tonight.
If I stayed behind it, it read the midlane like a dream and arc'd hard on the back. If I turned it up, it was clean through the heads and turned hard on the back.
I felt confident with every move on the lane, 4 in all tonight, that the ball would react and recover how I wanted it.
Beautiful reaction overall, while I only shot 609, 2 pocket 7-10, 6 on the pair tonight, I reignited my love for this ball. I'll be getting the thumb slugged this week to use again next week.
For everyone that was lucky enough to get your order in on the Archon and Paragon, you have a real gem of a ball on your hands, PowerKoil 18 should be the end all when it comes to house shots, simply amazing.
Enjoy, you really stole a wonderful ball that can do it all.
