Hammers 3-D HIGH REV OFF SET core?
« on: March 12, 2008, 12:43:25 AM »
Do you guys think Mo will ever use the old "3-D OFF SET CORE" he has the rights to?  The Fabal Hammer violet 3-D HIGH REV OFF SET was one of my favorite balls of all time.  I read somewhere that Ebonite tried to buy the rights to this core and Mo wouldn't part ways with it?  If this is true then why hasn't Mo used that core in another ball?  If he's not going to use that core then why not sell it to Ebonite so they can use it in a ball?

A remake of the Hammer 3-D HIGH REV OFF SET, Violet would be one of the biggest selling balls.

What's the differential of the core? If I remember correctly, it is pretty high - and if it is above 0.06", the core has now become illegal for use in any newly produced ball.

I'm not sure what the differential of the 3-D was?

The 3-D Offset was the basis for his wedge and future core you saw in balls like the Ravage, etc... I don't think he'll ever sell a license for another company to use any variation.

According to 123bowl.com/bowlingballreviews.com, the diff on the Faball - 3D Offset Violet Pearl Hammer was 0.045.

I thought the Ravage core looked similar in shape to the 3-d off set core.  One of the guys in my league has a Ravage.  He loves that ball.

If Mo ever released a ball with this core and a similar reacting coverstock, I would be one of the first people to order it.

I agree!  I would buy that ball ASAP!  Mo would make a ton of money re-making that ball!

The 3D Offset was an awesome ball (I still have 2); but the High Rev was a pretty decent ball (not as good as the original, but pretty good).
