how should I drill my TA

I have a TA with A 4 inch pin and wondering how to drill it for med-heavy oil.
I was thinking putting the pin above and between the bridge and the cg kick out to the right with a balance hole. Any suggestion?

Realize that Mo's asymmetric cores are very different in their drilling requirements from normal symmetric cored balls. That drilling will get some length due to the height of the pin above the midline, but the ball reaction will be still as strong as if you drilled it leverage.

The CG has ZERO effect on the ball reaction in strong Mass Bias balls like the TA. You need to place the MB PROPERLY to get the ball reaction you want.

YOU MUST GO TO A BALL DRILLER WHO KNOWS ABOUT DRILLING MASS BIAS, ASYMMETRIC CORED BALLS. THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION, unless your ball driller will do what you say after you get one of the experts here to give what you need. You will have to post all your release specifics: tilt, rotation, ball speed, PAP and the oil pattern and lane surface ion which you will use this ball.

did the ball work well for you on med-heavy oil patter.
I heard alot of people did not like the drilling from the MO drill sheet and I wondering did anybody drill there own way with their TA.

MORE IMPORTANT....a driller who KNOWS MoRich equipment !!!

OK, guys -- this is going to be a stupid question, but how do we know if they're experienced??  My drillers go to all the Mo seminars, preach Mo's fitting ideals and have drilled his balls -- is that enough?  Or are we talking about a whole interview process to determine the depth of their knowledge?  I have a TA coming (Thanks Cooksey!!) that I will need to get drilled and don't want it screwed up.....

No, no, that's good !  Like we said,..you need to have your driller be familiar with Mo's stuff...I think that qualifies !

i see many, many pro shop personel who just show up to seminars for the "freebies", so just knowing they go is only the first step.  if they stock and sell them, even better (familiar with drilling more than one or two).  if you feel they are doing good by you, your home free (customer service always shines).

They are the major supplier in the area, so they definitely stock/sell them.  I also remember when debating fit with them, that they told me that the way my ball was originally fit was exactly the way Mo would have done it.  I'm just concerned with the fact that their shop is stand alone and they don't see me bowl very often.  The driller at my home house sees me bowl 2 or 3 times a week, but I don't know how much Mo stuff he's drilled....Maybe I can get his opinion along with a Mo recommendation and see where that leads....

Hi Jim,

Thanks for taking the time to visit our web site and for the question!

Based on the information that you provided, we would suggest the following layout for a Total Annihilation, with regards to what the ball was designed to do:

Pin to PAP distance = 4 1/2"
MB to PAP distance = 4 3/4"
Pin height above the midline = 2 1/2"

This is pretty much what my driller and I agreed to on Monday - a drilling to make it longer/stronger on the back.  I had picked the ball reaction right below the 3 3/8" on the Morich drill request form -- guess my driller knows what he's doing!!  Thanks to all and I'll let you know how it turns out -- hope it's ready today!!
