S&A Drilling question.

So, I got my S&A yesterday, and now have to figure out how to drill it.  I was wondering what the control drill is for.  I usually drill my rocks to go long and snap, which I know there is a drill pattern for, but I just was curious what type of reaction you get from the control drill.

A control drill is typically a smooth ARC.

Usually, it's a little earlier and little less backend, just as the label would suggest. WARNING: A control drill for a Pinel asymmetric core IS VERY different from the control drill for a symmetric core. Pin position is unique and sensitive to a consistent PAP!

a control drill on a Mo piece doens't mean it's a weak drill either!! The S&A will still MOVE w/ a control drill on it.......it'll just be .........errr,..well.....controlled !

haven't we been thru this little episode already regarding Morich stuff?

speed, axis, tilt, track ? go to Morich's website and ask them...
