I'm not sure...seems like every time I pull this ball out of the bag I change my mind. It baffles me. I'm not sure what it is about this ball that can make it such a jekyll & hyde.

One time I can pull it out on a medium/heavy pattern & just KILL the inside line. Shot one of my best series' with it. The next time my Original inferno (my benchmark ball) is reading about the same way, I pull out the WMB & it is DOA at the pins. Burning out something fierce.

It chews up carrydown somedays, and then other days it blows right through the break point.

Here's one thing that I'm thinking. Is it possible that lane surface is the x factor to this ball's reaction? It seems that I can shoot the lights out with it at natural wood houses, but on synthetics it hits like a marshmellow. Maybe the synthetic lanes create a lot more friction & burn out the WMB? With every other ball I've owned this was never an issue, but as you all know, the WMB isn't every other ball.

Anyone else have a love/hate relationship with their WMB? Or notice this difference in reaction on synth vs. wood?

I am convinced that the plethora of different oils today...confuse balls to an extent.

I've noticed...I go to center B balls that were working at center A maybe act like it's soup b.  I go back to center A and balls that worked at center B act like they have a residue that affects there performance.

I'm almost to the point at not taking balls that work in one center to another!

I have for example two balls that hook within one board of each other at a tourney I go to.  Teh other day I went to center with more modern oils and more of it and one ball outhooked the other by 12 boards?

Both have strong cores but one has a 7 year old covestock and the other has some of today's new tires.

I had the same problem with my WMB.  However I did not notice a difference in lane surfaces.  I had this problem all at the same center (wood).  The ball is either great or a dud.   I have had many more 700's than 600's with this ball.  

The WMB is either the perfect ball to use or it is the worst ball to use.  You will know very quickly.  I don't even use mine anymore because of this.

Yea I had the same issue, hence I traded for the GREAT Vapor Zone that I still throw on almost every shot out there with success ( if you call it that).   I ended up polishing mine to the gills and using it on spotty light shots, really worked well there, but dull it was a PITA to figure out one day and dead on the next.

These comments really confuse me.  My WMB is THE most consistent ball I have ever owned.  It will always be in my ball for tournaments.  The ultimate wet/dry "smoother" I've ever thrown.  A dull particle ball that dislikes covering a lot of boards won't look like anything special on a THS where backend rules.  But give it a shot when the lanes are tricky and it's money.  I wish I could get something just like it for med/light oil.  Maybe a Sahara?  Never seen one thrown around here.
