LevRG or REVS sanded
« on: February 03, 2008, 11:06:45 AM »
I know that the REVS would hook more then the HOOK if sanded the same as the HOOK.

But what ball would be a better replacement for a Fury. My son is looking to replace his and wants a Mo ball.

Fury for me was a weak garbage ball, but going by what some has said about it, I would go with a Hook or LevRG to replace. I think the Hook is going to be close and LevRG is going to be stronger. I've got hook and levrg and the levrg is much stronger. Both drilled to arch hard but LevRG is a great ball for any shot cause its a very easy to control ball for me with the layout i chose.

I absolutely LOVE my Awesome Revs.  The particle pearl gives me a different look than anything else in my bag -- it helps even out the over/under reaction on some shots and gives me earlier roll than my other gear, but still with great continuation.  I'm actually using it at 2000 grit because I need some help getting through the heads with my release, but it still is pretty smooth and strong even at that.

I went with 20*5*30. This layout gave me a very hard arch and control and consistency. With it having so much control so far its worked great on the PBA shots I have played with it and great on a THS, can be a little strong on a THS if there is not enough oil though.

Here is a link to my video with the layout and demonstrating the balls reaction on a THS and Viper pattern. I dont have the perfect form but oh well. lol

Tell me what you're looking for the ball to do and I may can help you with the layout. I chose that one to have lots of forward roll and arch to combat the heavy volume in the PBA league.
