LevRG reaction help
« on: March 15, 2008, 04:32:08 PM »
I recently drilled a LevRG with the layout suggestion coming from MoRich support.  Based on my stats and what I was looking for out the ball, they suggested 4 1/2 x 4, 3" buffer from the midline.  This was supposed to allow me to open up the midlane on heavier patters.  The reaction I got however is dead solid roll.  This this is already rolling in my backswing.  I have tried everything from 1000 abralon to 4000 + heavy polish on a variety of conditions and I still get the same reaction, heavy roll up the boards, forget trying to move in.

Any thoughts?

For those that were interested in this thread, I spoke with MoRich about my issue and below is their response.  I have not tried their suggestion yet but will update if/when I do.

Response from MoRich:

Sorry to hear that the LevRG is working out as you would have liked it to.

It sounds as though the core/cover combination is too aggressive for your game, with the layout that we recommend and the ball is just transitioning too fast. Increasing the total angle sum will help to produce a slower transition and delay the ball form getting into a roll. When increasing the total sum, increasing the drilling angle more than the angle to VAL will result in a more angular motion. Since this ball "rolls in your back swing", we would suggest only increasing the the drilling angle and not messing with the angle to VAL. We would also suggest decreasing the amount of track flare, by placing the pin closer than 2 3/4" from your PAP.

Using a 80 X 2 1/2" X 40 should make a huge difference in reaction.

That will definetly calm it down and put some skid on the ball...
