How Strong Is The Mojave Really?
« on: January 09, 2009, 12:52:15 AM »
just curious because it has a similar diff. to my gold nuggett (.034) to the Mojave's .032  and the same PK17 coverstock only that the nuggett has a light particle load and that thing moves when theres dry downlane.

im wondering because my GN is starting to crack and if it becomes to bad i was thinking about the Mojave due to the similarities, but really how similar would they be?    any info or input is greatly appreciated

MOjave for me with the drill pattern I am using (check my profile for the drill pattern) is very smooth off dry very very controllable it NEEDS dry down lane to finish. Rolls well through the pins great continuation. IMO this is a great dry lane ball not snappy doesn't have the most length but it is easy to control on extreme dry and snappy backends, very dependable, easy to read, a great choice.

I hope this helps a bit

I too have the Mojave and agree that this is a very good ball for Light oil but it is easy to accidently drill this ball too strong.

if i did get it i was planning on going that route as i have a orange warlock and Liberator for the lighter stuff lol

Wasn't that the idea behind the ball? Less hook = better for dry lanes?

I saw it throw last night in league and wasn't impressed by the amount of hook. It didn't seek to have much snap in the backend and the total hook was minimal.

That will go down has one of the dumber statements this year.

Deadmoney isn't the idea of dry lane ball to be controllable and dry snappy lane conditions and not over hook or burn out early when the shot is dry? Can you answer me that?

Sorry guys, I don't follow Mo's stuff. I didn't read all the posts, just saw the name of the ball and gave my two cents on what I saw last night. I don't understand why you'd be calling my observations dumb?

I didn't care for the ball, but the guy in league seemed to do okay with it. He went to it after he couldn't control his Dirty Bomb.

pm'd you, and apologies my fingers were going faster than my brain was thinking.
