Title: light oil
Post by: strikeordie on January 11, 2006, 04:13:57 AM
I was thinking about getting a sahara for light oil conditions. Is the shock and awe too strong for light oil? Has anybody thrown the sahara? I havent seen many reviews on it.

shock and awe is probably too strong for light oil ....with the right cover prep and drill it "could" be ....but if you're true intention is lighter oil, the sahara is the way to go.....

Sahara is a great ball for dry lanes. The core is the same used in the Ravage/TA and the cover is very similar to the N Control Pearl used on the BVP Punisher. A Sock and Awe would have to be drilled fairly weak and the cover mellowed out (4000 abralon to smooth it out and take some backend out) to work as well, otherwise you'd be playing way in trying to find oil.

Keep in mind...."Drier Lanes" in Mo terms means more like Medium conditions.
