Looking for a chicago area driller for Mo stuff
« on: March 25, 2005, 05:08:38 AM »
I have my favorite place to get stuff drilled, but I am going to get my first Mo, the S&A, and I want to make sure I get the most out of it. I am sure that my driller now can get it done, but I am also sure that he doesn't know about the targeted weight stuff and doesn't have alot of experience with MO's stuff. Maybe I am making too much of it, but I would be willing to go elsewhere for this ball. I guess I can also fill out the drilling request on MO's site and take what I get back to my guy. Help me out. Should I worry?

Thanks!

My advice is go to the website and give as much information as you can. They're really helpful.

Check out Hawthorne Lanes. I believe Bill Spigner drills there, Rick Wunder from this site can provide more information.

I have had over 10 Morich balls drilled at the Bowlers ER in Des Plaines. He has been carrying Morich balls since the original Colossus. Just ask for William Clark, he is very knowledgeable and can lay any ball out to give you the desired reaction you are looking for. Very customer friendly and is up to date on the latest techniques. He has a good stock of balls on hand and if by chance, he does not happen to have the ball with your desired weight or specs he can usually get it within a day or so. If you want, you can tell him Adam sent you.

Just for information sake,
Bill Spigner does not drill at Hawthorn Lanes
anymore. The shop is now run by Brian Chilcutt.
As far as Morich equip, William Clark would be the
best choice for he is very knowledgable about their
line and is a good driller.
If you were looking
for Hammer, Enonite, Brunswick, or Storm, I woould
recommend Rich Blake over at Brunswick Zone Niles
at the Chicago Bowling Shop

I agree with thirtyclean, as far as MoRich stuff there's nobody better in the area than Will Clark out at Bowler's ER.  He's also really good with Track stuff as well as he drills and throws a lot of their stuff.

As for Ebonite, Hammer, Storm, and Brunswick, go to Rich Blake at Chicago Bowler's Store inside of Brunswick Zone Niles.  Rich (who co-owns the shop with Jeff Ash, thirtyclean and I also work alongside both of them) is a Hammer staffer but is very knowledgable about all brands of equipment.  At the shop we carry mostly Hammer, Ebonite, and Storm with a little bit of Brunswick thrown in.  As said before, Rich throws all Hammer, Jeff throws some Storm, I throw all Track, and Dan (thirtyclean) throws a good mix of Dynothane, Storm, Roto-Grip, etc.  We cover all bases there except for MoRich and Visionary.  All-in-all a great shop, one I would recommend even if I didn't work there.

Well, Jeff and Rich drill all my stuff now. I was looking for someone with knowledge with the MoRich equipment. I had a long talk with Rich today about this new S&A and he was very receptive to the idea of getting as much info as possible. As I said earlier, I am confident they can drill this ball, it's not rocket science, but with MoRich being a little different, there is nothing wrong with going to someone that drills them all the time and has seen them roll. Thanks for the info guys, I will take it all into account.

Like Adman and loose said go see William Clark over at The Bowlers ER.  He knows Morich equipment.
