I received my current issue of BTM Thursday of this week. It has the last 6 months of 2004 reviews in it. I couldn't find Morich listed. I then went back to the previous 6 month's of reviews issue and no Morich reviews listed there either. I then went back another 6 months and still no Morich listed. So that is 18 months with no Morich balls listed in their semi-annual and annual issues.
Does anyone know what's up? Is BTM boycotting Morich or what?........or am I blind and missing something somewhere?

The last ball of Mo's that was reviewed by BTM was the Colossus Pearl in Jan. '02.
This subject has been discussed before, i suggest digging deeper in this part of the forum.

Mac. hasn't he made ball since then like the WMB? If so, I wonder why BTM didn't review i8t and any others?

I've also wondered about this Brickguy221, but I never said anything about it for the fear of getting beat up over it.

Jeff, thanks for the info. Makes sense if he isn't giving them balls to try, but I wonder why he isn't. Looks like it would help his sales.
Take myself, I am in the market right now for a new ball to handle some oil in front (probably medium oil) and dirty-poorly stripped lanes and carry down back ends. Also heavier oil outside the 8 board. Since there doesn't seem to be any information like the BTM reviews to look at, I won't buy one of his balls blindfolded. They are unheard of where I live in OK. so there is also no one to discuss the balls with. I'm currently looking at two other balls right now. (A Storm and a Brunswick)

I read on BR a while back where Mo was upset with a review that was made on one of his balls! Don't know how to read into that .. one interpretation could be .. IF YOU DON'T SAY GOOD THINGS YOU CAN'T HAVE MY BALL! That wouldn't be too good for us bowlers!

Once more,
I believe the situation is that Mo Pinel had a "difference of opinion" between himself and Mr. King of BTM. Since the time of that "difference" MoRich has not sent any balls to BTM to be reviewed.
BJI, via Mike Riggin's pro shop has reviewed all of MoRich's balls, giving them what I believe to be excessive total hook numbers. (Editorial: while I believe Mo's ball can be as strong as anything else on the market and they cna be as good as anything else on the market, AND THAT'S SAYING A LOT, they do not exceed everything else on the market with regards to total hook.)

am i the only one that misses the "old" days @ BTM of honest ball reviews by knowledgeable people that were aware of their limitations.
when Mr. Summerville first started reviewing balls, there was close to zero ball manufacture advertising, and he would not accept freebies by the manufactures. he bought the balls himself, had 'em drilled however his shop guy would recommend, gave them one reeeal long workout and then wrote up what he though. what a concept. as his technical knowledge grew, so did the depth of the reviews.
...jk can't even manage to properly measure total track flare... i wouldn't give him any "freebies" either, not that that is the reason for (Morich) not sending balls there to be reviewed, nor is it any "unfavorable" reviews (all btm reviews have been positive of Mo's product).
Jim,
you could be a trendsetter in OK, the first one on the block! think of the competitive advantage
. you probably have a better feel of the product line through contacts on this forum than ball testers that refuse to leave dated methodology behind & drill the d@mn things improperly.

What 1revwonder said was correct about Summerville buying his own test balls for testing so that he can write the truth.
My BTM collection is from the second issue on until 2003.
I'm not impressed with the way JK did ball reviews. He never writes about why balls were drilled the way they are for testing. Should at least give a write up of some different drilling on the same ball like Summerville did on the Omega Lion. Bob bought and drilled a few cases of them.
