OK, my driller said I could "try" it. If there's a real pin then it would be about 1/4 inch below the surface.
When he was drilling it the pin( yes, there's one in it) cracked and messed up the finger hole on the inside. I had him left the insert out and used epoxy glue to patch the hole.
Tomorrow I'll smooth it out and install the insert. It'll look perfect on the outside and nobody will know there's this "operation". Just hope it won't have problem down the road( or lane
).
