Has Anyone tried out the MANIA?
« on: February 16, 2010, 10:02:36 PM »
i was wondering if anyone has tried this ball out yet and what kinda drilling did you use? and do you like it better than the Levrg lines? just tryn to get some info on this ball,  i have  awesome flip, levrg, intense & insane levrg, so i figured i would pick this ball up, i heard people was saying this ball is more versatile for bowlers,  im more slower speed and less hand in the ball, so it seems the Levrg line with me is not consitant, but my Flip is.. but thats a differnt core than the Levrg line too.. just tryn to get some info thanks guys..

I drilled a Mania this week. Went with 40 x 4 x 20 with a P3 hole. I threw it for 2.5 games Monday night on the Beaten Path pattern. My initial impression is it's a very strong ball.

Drilled one and it is very strong!  The Craze is a little more angular on the back, but overall the Mania covers more boards.  If you liked the LevRg line--you should love the Mania!  IMO

Mania 45x5x30 (p3 hole) - I've had everything from the Awesome Revs to the Craze - Many of the balls in between I've had a pair of. I can honestly say this is the best one of them all. This ball is drilled the same as my 2nd Frenzy. It easily gives me 7-10 more boards of hook. This ball carries shots you'd typically think would leave you a 10pin. It revs up strong but it is still very smooth. At one point tonight I had 15 in a row (234,279). I mixed in a 239 and a 289 and ended up +241 for four games on a fresh house shot. This ball is an absolute winner. Please feel free to ask any questions.

How does it look on the Shark Pattern?

Not sure how it looks on the Shark pattern, but I can say this ball is STRONG!!  IMO the strongest 'piece' that Mo has put out.  I don't have much hand, but this ball gives me some motion on the back.  The Craze did also, but the Mania just starts sooner.  Be careful, b/c without enough oil, this ball might look terrible b/c it wants to pick up early on the lane.

Agreed... Morich stuff is very strong and unless you have plenty of head oil or can intantly find more ball speed you can inadvertently drill them too strong.

Had 4 pieces I did that to... So I sold them bought replacements and put either control drill patterns or flippier patterns and they are golden. Lesson learned. Expensive but learned!

I have not gotten a chance to throw the mania, but I have seen it thrown. It is less on the backend then the Craze, but hooks more overall as its a bit earlier. I would say its similar to the movement of the 3.5.. more up front though. If anyone is looking for a Mania.. I have them shipped for 125 and drilled for 160 (including slugs, inserts, shipping)

Little late, but just got my Mania drilled up, and threw a few games.
40 x 3 1/4 x 20 with a P4
Ball is extremely similar to my Virtual Gravity at 47x4x40, so that tells you the ball is pretty damn strong.  Unfortunately due to overlapping issues, I might be forced to sell it.  Time will tell, but overall a great ball.

Very strong ball!!  This ball needs/wants some oil.  Mine is a 40x4x30 with a P3.5 wt. hole.  Another good ball from Mo.

I love the Mania.  The "awesome" line was more of a cover dominated line of bowling balls.  The LevRg's were core dominant and drilling was really important.  The new line with the Awakening core is extremely versatile and are again, cover dominant.

The Mania is a very strong ball.  I'm lucky enough to have three of them.  55x5x25, 60x3x20 p3, and 45x5x35 p3.  It gets down the lane very easily and makes a strong but controlled move.  Check out the videos on MoRichbowling.com.  They are pretty informative.  If you don't have a lot of hand, I'd get either a Craze or Mania.  The videos show the different drillings and surfaces and how it changes the balls reaction.
