Morich Mojave, NTense LevRG, Solid LevRG videos
« on: August 20, 2008, 02:54:02 AM »
Now this is bowling.

Mojave (Thrown by Fred Carroll Jr.): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWAfZ3QzOFU

NTense LevRG (Thrown by Fred Carroll Jr.):

Solid LevRG (Thrown by Fred Carroll Jr.): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnnSUMNo8SA

Very useful info on how layout plays a critical role in the performance of this line of balls.

The "Double Thumb" weighthole in relation to that strong mass bias placement creates the largest amount of assymetry in an assymetric ball.  It is achievable to increase mass bias differential in excess of .008-010+ with this extra hole.  It makes an even bigger void in which the ball wants to rotate around when it reaches it's PSA.  A bowling ball will always want to spin up to the largest void in the ball/or perferred spin axis.  When you combine the two elements it causes a very strong effect that makes the breakpoint more pronounced and can really open up a new window in ball motion when it comes to sharp breakpoints.  You can see in the video how much further left the tester has to play with the stronger layout, and also how much stronger off the spot the "double thumb" weighthole makes the ball.

I may try the double thumb hole with one of the balls I have undrilled currently, one question though would a double thumb hole work for lets say, a old Renegade Titanuim or a Primal Rage? if not I will also try one on the Complete Annhilation II, I have waiting in the on deck circle.

I'm not sure but I keep hearing the words Assymetrical in the comments above.

Though the Primal Rage is a high differential ball it is not assymetrical....

I'll defer to the REAL experts on this drilling.

I love Fred Carrolls tossin and have seen it live before....he's NOT on the Pro tour...?  I can never understand that stuff!

I am assuming the double thumb drilling be done on any Asymmetrical ball? Or is it a Morich thing?

Also is this drilling going to make the ball more suspect to rolling out?

Mo once laid out a ball for me....$$$ (crimson Red Sledgehammer(still occassionally using)

I found these videos so helpful not only in looking at the new balls.   BUT also it prompted me to go study the dual angle drilling method....quite fascinating stuff.

Also the gradient line weight holes...

Finally the difference in how flare potential of symmetric balls vs assymetric balls.

Great stuff!

PS very interesting to me right now....Midlane oriented drilling.

TTT

I just feel the information in these videos and out on Mo's site regarding the dual angle drilling system etc....is so powerful....I wanted everyone who wants to really understand why they are getting the reactions they are getting out of their equipment.

Fantastic!

The Gordon24 video demonstrations of the Vanguard core equipment were great as well.
