N'SANE
« on: December 03, 2008, 11:20:28 PM »
This is the first Morich ball i have ever used.I am getting real good games or real bad games with this ball. There is no in between. It is drilled for control.

The first few frames start good but i start leaving blow out 7 ,10 splits,Greek churches,8, 10 splits.I adjust and start leaving weak 10s.

I don't want to give up on the ball becaues i have shot several 270s with it.

I wonder if this ball is just condition specific.

Has anyone had good results on synthetics.I am using this ball on a 38foot ths shot.Good head oil fair backends.

The ball just needs oil to react at its best OOB. Great ball for PBA shots OOB  but best at 4000 or polished for a THS in my opinion.

I use this ball exclusively on synthetics, as I do not bowl in any wood houses.  This ball is my benchmark ball.  Strong rolling and very predictable.    I use it in 3 different houses, each with different shots, and also in tournaments, and have had success on all of the above mentioned conditions.  How do you have yours drilled?  Pin placement, cg placement, balance hole if applicable?  I have mine punched out with the pin just above and to the right of the ring finger, which puts it about 4" from my pap, and the cg is about 1/2" to the right of grip center.

All bowling balls are condition specific in their box surface.  Some bowling balls can be used on a ton of different types of patterns if the coverstock is adjusted to a higher/lower grit.

Sounds to me like your bowling on a shorter or lighter oil pattern causing the ball to hit weak.  When pocket 7/10's start showing up then chances are it's time to move into more oil or change balls.
