The MoRich Lineup
« on: December 16, 2007, 09:59:09 AM »
Hello Everyone

Ok, so I just got my first MoRich ball (Nsane-Lvrg) and I kept it OOB condtiton and like everyone is saying its really an awesome ball...very powerful.

Since I am unfamiliar with the MoRich lineup couls someone be kind enough yo tell me what conditions these balls a dp best in, even with coverstock adjustments.

Btw, I ask because I'm looking to get a MoRich med-heavy oil ball but I still would like to know for my own knowledge...thanks! Jake

1) Awesome Finish

2) Awesome Flip

3) Awesome Hook

4) Awesome Revs

5) LevRG

Awesome finish is for about medium to dry conditions.

Awesome Flip is about medium lanes.

Awesome hook is about light heavy.

Awesome Revs is about medium to light heavy.

LevRG is about Heavy as mo has to offer.

Another great choice is a Total Shock & Awe, its a great ball for a heavy fresh house shot. Today we had a pro-am tournament with a fresh heavy oiled house shot at 40' and this is the only ball I could get to give me a big reaction. Its at 400 grit which is OOB and this thing just kills it. 240 first game, then just had some really bad breaks with a pocket 7-10 and ringing 10's and 7's, switched balls a few times and ended up shooting a lousy 150 game then got my head cleared went back to my TS&A and shot a 248. So its a good ball and very aggressive which is what I like, you can really swing this one.

sorry but I have to make sure that I understand you as I want to get a dry lane ball and a med-heavy oil ball, thanks again!

Yeah my friend has one and we only use it when it gets bone dry. But its drilled weak though. Most people start with the Revs and then move down to the Finish. Don't get me wrong its a strong ball, I just think its potential is not as great as other morich balls. If your looking for a dry lane ball make sure your driller knows this or stay away from a MoRich for dry lanes.

If you want a dry lane ball, snag a Sahara, they are cheaper and more efficient as far as a dry ball.

Would agree with Chaos. Flip is more for a light/medium lane. Sahara is a better Dry or burnt lane ball.

Well, that is not how they work for me. For a fluffer a Sahara might be good for dry lanes but, I cant use it on anything under medium usually. I can use either the flip or the Sahara on medium Heavy with great success.

The Sahara is nothing even close to a dry lane ball. Look at the specs on it.

My Awesome Finish is a great medium condition ball. I keep it at a glossy 3M compound finish, at OOB polish it was pretty squirty but would even handle light oil. For a player with good speed, it should work on medium-dry, too, but it has a low RG and rebs up easily - I found it to be very touchy once the lanes become too dry.

The Sahara, on the other side, uses a milder coverstock (ex Punisher), and it copes with lighter conditions IMHO much better, even though it is still not a ball for dry lanes. It just has better length than the lower RG Vanguard core balls, also due to the coverstock.

By the way, there had been an overseas ball called "Grand Shock & Awe" which combined the Sahara cover with a Vanguard type core. But only for Asia, I guess a very good spinner type ball.

Slop, that is the problem with questions like this. There is not real answer to a vague question. Depending on how the ball is drilled and what is done to the cover can greatly change the reaction of the ball. Maybe your Sahara is drilled stronger then most that I have seen or maybe you have more hand in the ball.

The Flip or the Sahara could be used as a dry lane ball with the correct drilling and keeping a high polish on it. But with what I have seen and after talking with Mo Pinel the Sahara is about the only ball that I would say could be used for a dry lane.

Hello Group

Well, I ordered the LevRG to go along with my new Nsane-Lvrg

Also, my Nsane-Lvrg which I just got last Friday is weighing in at 15lbs
and my new LevRG will be the same.

Why do I write this do you ask?? I just dropped my ball weight from 16lbs to 15 lbs. so as you can imagine it is an adjustment for me.

I actually didn't do to well with my new Nsane-Lvrg on my Friday night league since I was not used to the one pound difference and WOW! what a difference one pound makes.

So on my Sunday morning practice I threw about 15 games with my Nsane-Lvrg and on about the 7th game my timing was there...a great feeling it was and so I thought since I'm totally going over to the 15lb side

I might as well start my 15lb. arsenal . Stay tuned as there is a new MoRich convert in the house!!

Have a nice day everyone...

Well, I threw my new 15lb. Nsane-Lvrg last night in my Wednesday league and WOW! did I do much, much, better then I did on my Friday night effort. Also, the ball is just one beautiful looking ball going down the lanes as I had a lot of bowlers coming over to me and drooling over it and the strikes with it were just as fun.

I must admit though I was kinda surprised that I would still leave some corner pins with it and a couple of crushing 7-10 splits since dropping that one pound.
It was just like I was still throwing my 16lb. gear, LOL

Ok, so here is what I got for my 4 ball arsenal with my 1 & 2 balls being MoRich :

1)Heavy Oil = LevRG (I brought it up to 4K grit abralon and a small coat  of
              polish)

2)Med Oil = Nsane-Lvrg (left it OOB and put a small coat of polish on it)

3)Lite Oil = Hammer Blue-Vibe (left it OOB and put a large amount of polish on
             it)

4)Lite Oil to Dry = Lane 1 Red-XXL Plastic

I see where you are coming from. Nah, I had 2 of them and both were highly polished and were not drilled strong. I think one was a 5X5 with the pin over. It has been a while though. I do have some good hand in the ball and when they are dry, I am playing 5-6th arrow or pulling out the spare ball.
