Drrev is basically right. I will add that a 3-4" pin to cg distance (favor the short if you have a small hand, long if your hand is big) is ideal if you want to avoid drilling a hole because you have to, or give yourself the most drill options without having to drill a sinkhole on the right side.
I have not thrown this ball yet (mine's on its way, ETA Monday), but in my experience with Activator+ in the Absolute Inferno and Vapor Zone, this coverstock is uncommonly tuneable for a pearl. With a compound/rough buff finish and low grit base you'll find a ball that's very strong, as strong as many solid reactives with a little more length and snap. With high grit and polish, you can turn it into a hockey puck...that's also the downside, subtle surface changes have DRAMATIC effects with this coverstock.
Personally I say drill it strong and then take up the grit and polish if it's stronger than you want. Put pin above fingers for length (somewhere between grip center and 1:30 is generally safe) and put the MB a little to the right of the thumbhole, maybe as much as 45 degrees. The farther right you place the pin and/or MB, the more likely you'll have to drill a hole to make it legal the lower the top weight on the ball the less likely this is and the smaller the hole that will have to be drilled if you do. Of course, a hole can be desirable to make the core even more asymmetric, but as you're looking for a smooth reaction this probably is not your desire as this is usually done to create stronger and/or sharper reactions.
