Title: New MoRich ball
Post by: PJM300 on April 03, 2004, 03:31:00 AM
Anyone have any info or anything.  In the latest bowlers journal thers an ad for Morich mentioning the Mayhen and Onslaught and then goes on to say that something new is coming and the competition has been forewarned.......

NOOOOOO! Solid light load PLEASE!?! i don't trust the reactives with carrydown.. AND i hear/see the onslaught struggles on carry-down.. I really don't need the mayhem hook.

Well that might help!  A 0% load i like that!  If and when i look for another solid reactive then i will take a look, i think that Mo needs one in the line up.  I guess i may just go with the Onslaught and drill it my favorite, leverage, and then dull it a touch if it won't handle what i want it too.  Then again maybe i would be wiser to get it going  a lil sooner just drill for the big backend that i want.

Did I hear Monster? Is that because Brunswick will be manufacturing it?

With MoRich going to Brunswick covers, I wonder if it's some variation of the Activator?  Mo-Tuned mass bias core in an Ultimate Inferno wrapper.  Think it will hook?

O M G!!! you put the mahem core in that reactive of a cover, LOOK OUT! holy ____  there is NO way that is going to fit under the onslaught if that is the cover on it.  That would be an amazing piece right there, I would have to get one i think.  That just sounds like a true winner.  I may be converting to all mo for heavy stuff!

i talked with freddie with morich. He said that they were using  the power koil 17 coverstock. He said it would be cleaner through the front than the onsluaght but more angular than the onsalught also, due to the denities being tweaked and the new coverstock.

So if Brunswick ever decided to put out a solid PK17 Power Groove, would this Ravage sell better or worse than that ball?  Hmm...  *stirs pot and walks away*

Of course they would be different.  RG values and diff values are important for more than one reason after all.  I just thought it would be interesting to bring that question up.

Yo! King of the Mill!?

Is this true..can you find out ?

kotm said this is supposed to be loooong and strong,...so I'm assuming a polished PK 18 wrapped around a Mayhem core ?

I may have just wet myself!

I attended a Mo Pinel clinic last night (had a great time, will write about it later).  Mo laid out and drilled me a Ravage and he told me it was PK18, not PK17.  Take care....JS

I saw this ball for the first time on sunday.  PBA pro Jack Jurek out of Buffalo was working with Mo Pinel, and Mo show me the new Ravage.  It is a darker red and blue brunswick cover with white engraving.  Jack was throwing the ravage and comparing it in line with the mayhem, onslaught, and a freak out.  The ravage is more than the onslaught and very similar to the freak out.  Definetly less than the mayhem.  Ravage is clean through the front, and revs easy continuing awesome through the pins.  Ball hits very very hard keeping pins low and send messenger on off hits.  I can't remember if the cover is PK17 or PK18, but it is one of the two.  After seeing the ravage thrown, I will be drilling one in due time.

Sounds like a nice later shift and/or fresh shot where someone needs to play nice and deep and "get around the corner" .....Mo's stuff is so versatile...this one might be a monster!

Listen guys...  How many urethane suppliers has Brunswick gone through since they released the original PK17 and PK18?  I think there have been 2, maybe three.  The most recent one being Bayer I believe.  I don't think the PK18 in the Time Zone is exactly the same as what you might have on a original Danger Zone.  Just a thought........
