dual angle question
« on: April 01, 2009, 10:19:40 AM »
if i take two identical balls and drill one 65x4x35 and drill the second one 75x4x25, which would be longer, with the most angular or abrupt backend?

Both would be extremely long but the second one would go longer and also have a more angular move.  The higher the first angle the longer the ball goes before it will begin to hook.  The smaller the second angle the more backend the ball will have.

The pin to pap and the rg diff of the ball will have something to do with it.. but from my experience you might need some decent revs to get the 75 deg drill to make that snap on the backend.. It will definately be longer and snappier than the other ball but you need the hand to pull it off..
without the hand it might just be long and no snap.

J_w nailed it.  Depends on the RG diff and also the pin placement on the ball.  If you have a 4 inch pin and drill it 75 x 4 x 25 it may never make the turn.

Ideally though if you have a decent rg differential and a 2-3 inch pin the 75 x 4 x 25 would be more angular.
