Newb wants a MoRich ball. Please help.
« on: March 17, 2008, 07:23:05 AM »
Hi everyone, I have been a lurker on this site for some time now and I am interested in purchasing a MoRich ball. I am not up on all of the bowling lingo, so please allow me to apologize in advance. I throw the ball pretty hard (18-19mph), without alot of hook. I stand in the middle of the 2nd and 3rd dot from the right in a 5 dot setup and throw over the 2nd arrow for my pocket shot. I am right handed. I currently throw a 16lb Smokin Inferno. If you need any additional information from me please don't hesitate to ask. I appreciate everyone's help with my decision. I am currently thinking of the NSane LevRg. I only bowl in a Thursday men's league on synthetic lanes and every other Sat in a mixed couples league. These are both in the same house.

Thanks,
Fred

the nsane is more for medium lanes.  the total shock and awe is great for a lot of oil.  the levrg has a lot of hype but it is only ok.  it hits hard.  the total shock and awe is the best bet i think.  the seek and destroy is also a good ball fort that type of conditon.

Given warfield's higher speed, I would go with the good old LevRG because of the ability to get into a roll earlier.
Drilled properly for your style, the ball will be just fine on med-heavy oil on a THS.

You might want to wait for the LevRG Solid to hit the streets.

First off, thanks for your insight guys.

I emailed a seller on Ebay that has all 3 balls for sale and she recomended the original LevRg. I explained the same scenario to her, but who knows, she might have been just trying to get rid of her LevRg stock.

Its all in what your looking for. The LevRG gets into a very hard roll early and doesn't let up. The Nsanes can be condition specific and probably will not work unless you have some dry backends or you sand it down. The solid levrg is going to be the best of both worlds I think. With you bowling just on a THS the Solid LevRG should be exactly what you need. All Three will work great but the LevRG is very drill specific so you need a good shop to drill that one, the Nsane is condition specific OOB so you will need to adjust the cover with your speed more then likely. The solid i think fits between the two, but I don't have any experience with it...YET! lol
