Next MoRich release..
« on: September 12, 2006, 01:39:47 PM »
Anyone got any ideas?  I know it's kind of early, but it's always fun to try and guess.  Mo hasn't debuted a particle pearl since the Onslaught.   I would love to see a particle pearl version of C4 reactive, with the Vanguard double flip blocks.

"If it don't hook, it don't sell"- Mo Pinel

He's right, and those are words directly from his mouth.

If anything they make is geared towards lighter volumes it will only be made in short production runs like the Sahara.  I'll get to speak with a rep of his this weekend, if there's any info they're willing to share about a possible future release I'll let you guys know.  Meanwhile, if there are some Sahara's left, snatch them up.  I can imagine them being worth ALOT down the line.

He does seem to use very strong cores and covers, but if he just cared about about selling product he would make easy to drill symmetrical cores.  He also wouldn't come out with weak stuff, period.  And he wouldn't do as much as he has with teaching pro shop owners how to lay out equipment.  I get the feeling that he wants people to get better and to maximize their abilities.  The hooking stuff that he comes out with can be tuned to work for many different conditions and for many different styles.

I figure that there is a weak ball down the road.  Even with drilling options one cannot get all the reactions needed to combat all the lane conditions that one can run into without a ball with a fairly wek cover.  The ball directly over the Sahara is the Awesome Flip, which has the very agressive Activator + coverstock.

Personally, I'd also like something "weaker" in the future. I think both the  Sahara and also the original Ravage are or would be great additions to the really strong stuff MoRich has out there. I really like the cores and what you can do with it when you put "mediocre" Brunswick covers like PK 18 or N'Control PowerBoost on them. It is just impressive!
