I got an NTense LevRG recently to help fill a void in my heavy/long oil aresenal which got me thinking about adjusting the surface of my LevRG.  

I had always struggled in the mud with my LevRG at 1000 grit and on a house shot it was very over/under.  It read very early, and was very strong arc (roll) off the breakpoint.  This ball is definitely the best carrying ball I've ever thrown but it's difficult to hold a line because of how strong the cover/core is.  So I decided to throw some powerhouse polish on it.

I gave it some shine and OOB on a second shift house shot threw 289, 204, 214.  I left a weak 7 pin in the 11th of my first game.

The shine took the edge off the ball and gave me an easy 5-10 feet of extra length.  This allowed me to play the same part of the lane for almost 2 full games before having to move 3-4 boards.  

I'm going to try it on my first shift house shot tomorrow night but I imagine it'll work even better because I still had 4 boards of room to the right at start of the second shift shot.

If you have something else for long and strong oil, I recommend trying some polish on your levRG.  It's not nearly as strong off the dry as the Nsane and doesn't have the angular hook that the Mojave can have when it breaks down.  Just thought I'd share for anyone looking to place this in their arsenal.

i used rough buff on my levrg, just a very small amount on the ball. and it works great. ball is drille 75*5*45 and im high rev player. one of the best ball ever made

Second night with the polished levRG: 703

The more I use it the more I'm convinced this is the best surface for a house shot.  This ball at 1000 polished carries better than anything I own.  I can't necessarily swing with it like I used to, but the path shape of this ball never was supposed to be big swing so you should have something else in the bag for that.

All the versatility I've had with the LevRG is why I think it should be the 2nd best ball of the year behind the cell.

On a side note, I threw the Ntense in league for the first time and, HOLY COW.  I moved 7 and 3 with my feet and target and I still went brooklyn.  That is one heck of a ball!

I drilled up the ntense with a big of a modified dual angle layout of:

45 x 3 x 35

I always struggle on longer patterns so I wanted something with smaller angles to pick up early and it wound up being like a 3x5 drilling with the mb slightly closer to the VAL.  It just rolls amazing for me in the mud and on longer patterns.

My levRG is more like 60 x 4 x 45
I would have thought it would go long with lots of backend but it picks up pretty quickly, added that polish and it's just a smooth strong truck headed for the pocket!

Love this company.  Hits like nothing else and is just plain reliable.  That and I've NEVER had a problem with a coverstock, even with them made in Mexico!
